Mr Samuel Harding, a third-year Bachelor of Business Administration student at the University of Prince Edward Island, and who is currently an exchange student at the University of Malta studying accounting, has won a prestigious Frank H. Sobey Award for Excellence in Business Studies valued at $45,000.
The Frank H. Sobey Awards for Excellence in Business Studies are awarded each year to up to eight undergraduate business students attending an Atlantic Canadian university who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement in business and dedication to extracurricular, community, and entrepreneurial activities.
Harding is on the Faculty of Business dean's honours list and president of Enactus UPEI, which is part of a national student-led organization that uses entrepreneurship to improve the economic, social, and environmental health of their community and the country overall.
After completing his bachelor's degree, he plans to earn a master's in business administration degree and then his chartered professional accountant designation.
Along with his studies at the University of Malta, Samuel plans to work in the busy real estate industry, building on his experience in property management with his parents.
