Conservation biologist, Prof. Adriana Vella, who chairs the University Maritime Platform, says that we need to carefully integrate marine and maritime scientific knowledge for sustainable development. As a nation, we can achieve the urgently needed level of innovation for the survival of marine species, rich biodiversity and flourishing marine resources for future generations. Boosting marine related education, research and management are key to achieving this.
