This exercise is carried every 5 years by the public but independently run University who has seen a fast expansion and improvement in rankings in the last few years. More information is available .
LUT is a relatively small University with a very focused mission of a sustainable development focused on clean energy, air and water. It's three Faculties (Energy Systems, Engineering and Business School) have 11 departments and almost 8000 students. Founded in 1969, it has started a radical transformation in the last decade to focus its mission and improve its performance and impact.
The 12 panel experts were chosen from various Universities in Europe and the USA with each panelist leading one area of assessment.
Prof. Mule' Stagno was asked to lead the Renewable Energy Assessment.
