For Christopher and Karl, two graduates of the University of Malta’s Faculty of Engineering, education is the key to excelling in their area. Both were recently honoured for their outstanding results at Cranfield University in the UK.
The two knew each other way earlier – at primary school, in fact – but their concurrent experiences at Cranfield brought them close together.
Their undergraduate course at UM gave them a very strong academic and technical foundation and even beyond that, it helped them develop core critical thinking skills as well as other soft skills that are equally important in academia and research.
They told Newspoint that education in general is more than the degree – it is a lifelong process where the individual needs to cultivate a deep sense of curiosity.
