An internationally recognised expert in cutaneous laser surgery, Prof Azzopardi鈥檚 lecture highlighted his seminal work on scar classification, a framework that has transformed clinical approaches to scar assessment, and treatment strategies. This "elegant" work, based on one of the world's largest published personal case series, provides a simple, structured method for scar management that enhances surgical outcomes, is universally applicable to most scars, yet is easily understood by both doctor and patient. Professor Azzopardi鈥檚 address also explored cutting-edge laser techniques for aesthetic and reconstructive and oncological laser surgery.
Prof. Azzopardi presented alongside world-renowned leaders in the field, including Professor Matteo Tretti Clementoni and Professor Ophir Artzi, both of whom are pioneers in the field.
