"Professionals need to be not only experts in their field, but must be able to communicate and put into action all the knowledge they gained to leave a legacy for future generations. Women in the STEM community are key in bringing new perspectives and insights, especially when it comes to day-to-day practicalities, multitasking, forward-planning and thinking outside of the box. Great role models are important for the younger generation to look up to, and it is our duty to nurture a passion for real science in a world increasingly inundated with pseudoscience", she told Newspoint.
The calendar is an initiative by the Women for Women Foundation, a local NGO aiming to support women’s wellbeing.
Proceeds from the calendar will in fact support the Foundation’s initiatives aimed at empowering women.
