The University of Malta鈥檚 Master鈥檚 and PhD ceremonies came to a close on Friday 21 March 2025.
These ceremonies have marked a significant educational milestone for 1,500 students+ who have successfully completed their Masters' degree or their doctorate with the University of Malta.
Following a Graduation Thanksgiving Mass held on Thursday 6 March 2025, which kicked off the celebrations, over the span of two weeks, a total of 18 ceremonies were held at the Basilica of Our Lady of Safe Haven and St Dominic in Valletta, where relatives were able to join the graduands as they received their degrees.
Malta鈥檚 Prime Minister, Dr Robert Abela, also attended one of the ceremonies.
The ceremonies were live-streamed via the University鈥檚 social media pages.
930+ graduates are female, whereas 610+ are males.
77 of them graduated with a doctoral degree.
Dr Danielle Martine Farrugia, one of the PhD graduates, went viral after singing a line from the popular musical Wicked, in relation to making science popular.
The last ceremony was dedicated to those who graduated with a Master of Science or Doctor of Philosophy from the Faculty of Economics, Management and Accountancy as well as those who graduated with a Master of Science in Blockchain and Distributed Ledger Technologies from the Centre for Distributed Ledger Technologies.
Once again, the University of Malta congratulates all of its graduands and augurs them a successful and prosperous future.
