Last week, the Director of the , Professor Michael Scott led a delegation consisting of Professor Cathy Harrison, Chief Pharmaceutical Officer, Department of Health, Northern Ireland and Anita Hogg, from MOIC to visit the Department of Pharmacy of the Faculty of Medicine and Surgery.
During the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed to support joint research collaboration towards the area of medicines optimisation, adoption of innovation into practice to improve clinical outcomes and patient experience, and to support benefits for patient-centred pharmaceutical services.
Following the signing, the Northern Ireland delegation visited practice sites and met with graduates from the Doctorate in Pharmacy offered by the Department of Pharmacy to reflect on how research outcomes have impacted practice development in regulatory, community and hospital settings.
