The Lunchtime on Campus – Spring Edition event held on Wednesday 14 May 2025 brought vibrant energy to the heart of the university, drawing a lively crowd from across the community.
Colleagues gathered under the warm sun to enjoy good food, refreshing drinks, and relaxed conversation. Whether discussing work or simply catching up on life, the event provided a much-appreciated opportunity to connect beyond the usual routines.
There was a genuine sense of togetherness as staff from various departments mingled freely, joined by the Rector and several Pro-Rectors, whose presence added a personal touch to the occasion.
It was a welcome chance to engage informally with leadership, strengthening the spirit of collaboration and openness that defines the university.
Entertainment by the Degree Plus Band throughout the afternoon kept spirits high, and laughter was in easy supply as attendees lingered, enjoying the festive atmosphere.
But the undeniable highlight of the event was the stunning infiorata — a breathtaking floral display that turned the campus centre into a vivid canvas of colour. Flowers of every hue were carefully arranged to form a captivating scene, drawing admiration from all who passed by and becoming a focal point for photos and conversation.
All in all, the event was a refreshing reminder of the joy in community and the simple pleasures of gathering together — a perfect celebration of spring and the vibrant life of campus.
