The is interested in participating as a host organisation in the following types of actions under the Individual Fellowships Call (H2020-MSCAIF-2016):
- MSCA-IF-EF-ST (ST - Standard European Fellowships)
- MSCA-IF-EF-CAR (CAR – Career Restart panel)
- MSCA-IF-EF-RI (RI – Reintegration panel)
- MSCA-IF-GF (Global Fellowships)
The fellowships take form of European Fellowships (EF) or Global Fellowships (GF).
The National Hellenic Research Foundation has three research institutes, namely the Institute of
Historical Research, the Institute of Biology, Medical Chemistry and Biotechnology, and the Institute of Theoretical and Physical Chemistry. The National Documentation Center is also part of the National Hellenic Research Foundation. It is the backbone organisation of the national infrastructure for scientific documentation, online information and support services on science, research and technology.
The Institute of Historical Research conducts research on the political, economic, social and cultural history of the Greek areas and the regions where Hellenism has been active, from prehistoric antiquity to the modern era. The Institute of Biology, Medical Chemistry and Biotechnology acts as a focal point, unique within Greece, for innovation at the interface of Chemistry and Biology through a modern interdisciplinary approach to the solution of state-of-the-art issues in the areas of health, drug research and biotechnology. The Institute of Theoretical and Physical Chemistry advances research in selected fields of experimental and computational/theoretical chemistry and physics, with emphasis on nanomaterials with advanced functionality for energy conversion and storage, photonics, and electrochemical applications.
The NHRF welcomes project proposals relevant to the following panels: Life Sciences (LIF), Chemistry (CHE), Physics (PHY), Social Sciences and Humanities (SOC), Economic Sciences (ECO), ¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÃâ·Ñ Science and Engineering (ENG), Environment and Geosciences (ENV), Mathematics (MAT). However, priority will be given to those projects that fit best with NHRF’s existing research interests, activities, institutions and organs, and gain the support of at least one NHRF senior researcher. Proposals are preselected on the basis of internal evaluation and the availability of suitable supervision.
Researchers who wish to cooperate with NHRF for the submission of a project proposal under the aforementioned actions should check that they fulfill the respective eligibility criteria and then send an expression of interest, consisting of a short CV and a two-page summary presentation of their research proposal, to Mrs Kleri Foniadaki (klerifo@eie.gr).
Expressions of interest must be submitted to the NHRF by 20 June 2016.
Candidates will be informed of the results of the pre-selection by 30 June 2016. Please note that the deadline for submission of proposals to the Commission is 14 September 2016.
