Scientists from all research disciplines and sectors are invited for participation in the fifth annual Science in the House exhibition. Science in the House is the official opening event of the prestigious Science festival Science in the City, European Researchers’ Night on Friday 30 September. The exhibition is scheduled for the late morning of Thursday 29 September. The format is a media event showcasing the exciting scientific research at the University of Malta, and elsewhere in Malta, for discussion with Members of Parliament. The event will be held in the New Parliament Building in Valletta.
Submission of application forms is now open. The one-page application form is available . Application forms are to be written in language understandable to a non-specialist. The deadline for submission is Friday 15 July 2016.
Participation is subject to peer-review. The evaluation panel will consider the quality of the application, research excellence based on high-impact journal publications, training of graduate students and postdoctoral researchers, and social and economic impact of the research. Selected participants are to submit a manuscript for publication to a special issue of .
The event is part-financed by the European Commission’s Research and Innovation Framework Programme H2020 (2014-2020) by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions and organised by the Malta Chamber of Scientists, and the Research Trust (RIDT) of the University of Malta, on behalf of the Science in the City consortium The event is hosted by the Hon.
