The deadline (31/07/2016) for the DPic: Architecture, Art and Image contest, promoted by and the Faculty of Arts and Humanities of the University of Porto, is fast approaching.
DPic: Architecture, Art and Image is an international Drawing and Photography contest organised by UTOPIA 500, in partnership with scopio Editions, Project AAI and the research group CCRE (FAUP), and is based on the concept of “utopia” and this extraordinary influence of architecture and design. The contest involves submitting two A3 designs, the first showing a certain part of any chosen city as it is now, and the second a utopian vision of how this same area could be in the future.
Entries are being accepted from undergraduate students and young researchers all over the world, enrolled at any institution of higher education or research. Participants will be able to compete either as individuals or in groups; however we encourage the formation of multidisciplinary teams, composed of members with wide-ranging academic profiles.
The top 20 designs will all be publicly exhibited at the Óbidos Literary Festival later this year and the ultimate winner will then be selected from these through a combined vote of our judging panel and festival-goers.
A has been recently released which will provide more information on the contest.
