The Research, Publications and Scholarship Committee of the Faculty for Social Wellbeing is planning to organise a workshop between the 11-13 January 2017.
This workshop will focus on Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA) and will be led by Dr Rachel Shaw, from Aston University in the UK, a leading expert in the use of IPA.
The workshop will be open to undergraduate and postgraduate students, and academics who use this method or are interested in using it.
The structure of the three-day workshop is as follows:
- the first day is open for all and covers basic techniques
- the second day is most suitable for post-graduate students and academics and covers advanced methods
- the third day is for those supervising students using IPA.
The fee is €75 a day or €200 for those participating in the three days.
A maximum of 25 participants will be accepted for the workshop and acceptance will be on a first come first served basis.
Deadline for registration is Monday 10 October 2016. A deposit of €50 is payable by that date.
Those who are interested should write to the RPS Committee secretary, Ms Lucienne Brincat, indicating whether they are interested in participating in the three days of the workshop.
