The is an international competition which awards prizes to innovative solutions for business and society based on Earth observation data from the EU's Copernicus programme.
The topics addressed by the challenges include innovative uses of Earth observation data in field such as digital transport, sustainable development, disaster management, energy and the environment, big data usage, as well as small satellites.
Annually, different prize categories tackle global challenges with revolutionary competition entries in the fields of deep learning, the IoT, big data analytics, smart mobility and industry 4.0 – just to name a few.
Along with cash prizes, the winners will receive access to a leading international network, corresponding data, startup funding, and other support valued at more than EUR 1.5 Mio in total.
The submission phase for this year’s edition is running from 1 April to 30 June 2017.
