- Applications are invited for a student to work on a project regarding the Investigation and development of the macromolecular Chemistry required for a portable desalination device, working through forward osmosis with a regeneratable solute. This research project will be carried out under the supervision of Prof. Emmanuel Sinagra and the co-supervision of Prof. David Magri, Dr Daniel Vella and Dr Ruben Gatt in collaboration with WizaR&D Ltd. The person is required to be engaged immediately by 15 October 2017.
- Applicants must be in possession of at least a B.Sc. (Hons) degree with Chemistry as a main area of study obtained with at least Second Class Honours from the University of Malta, or a comparable degree from any other recognised university. Very good knowledge of English is a prerequisite. Any direct experience in research project work or industrial experience will be considered an asset.
- Bench fees are covered (EUR3,000) and the position carries an allowance of EUR 7,000. These will be financed by WizaR&D Ltd, through funds obtained from the MarSA fund of the Malta Marittima Agency, through the Take-Off incubator.

The stipend awarded for this scholarship is to be considered as a form of allowance and will not cover all the costs attached to studying and living in Malta.
