The Government of the Czech Republic is offering 3 Maltese students the possibility of a scholarship at the 2019 Summer Schools of Slavonic Studies organised by public institutions of higher education in the Czech Republic (Faculty of Philosophy of the University of South Bohemia, 膶esk茅 Bud臅jovice; Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University, Prague; Faculty of Philosophy of Palacky University, Olomouc). The courses are held during the summer months (July-September), and their length ranges from 3 to 4 weeks depending on the course content determined by each summer school and are designed for students, teachers, translators and interpreters and other experts active in the field of Czech/Slavonic studies. They are also open to who is interested in the Czech language, literature, history and culture. These summer schools offer language courses at various levels of proficiency, seminars on the Czech literature, culture and history, free-time activities including theatrical, musical and dance performances, trips, etc.
A student has to indicate the discipline in which he/she would like to pursue the studies and then Prague will assign them the most suitable university. The Scholarship consists or free board and lodging, full coverage of course fees and free access to cultural events which are part of the course programme. It does not however include travel to/from the Czech Republic and health insurance.

This form together with the Czech application form and Curriculum Vitae should be submitted to the Scholarships Section at the Ministry for Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion, Valletta online, or by hand from 08:00 to 12:00 and by not later than noon of Wednesday 27 February, 2019.
Successful candidates may be required to enter into a contract to serve the Government or the Private Sector of Malta upon completion.
Applications from Government and Parastatal employees and from the Private Sector will not be considered unless recommended by their Head of Department/Employer respectively.
Late applications will not be considered.
The Board's decision will be final.
