A newly-launched Research Excellence Programme launched by the Malta Council for Science & Technology (MCST), is making a maximum grant of € 50,000 available to be used for the employment of researchers, purchase or hire of specialized instruments, travel, scientific information and so on.
The programme, which is in line with the National Strategy for Research & Innovation 2020, aims to spur the growth of new knowledge acquired through experimental evidence following scientific hypothesis. It has been created with a focus on initial conceptual research, and is intended to fund projects which are still in the early stages of research, but which boast a high degree of excellence and international relevance.

Through the support provided by the FUSION Programme, we have assisted in the unlocking of the huge potential of Maltese Innovators. This new programme will further provide them with opportunities to reach new heights in their endeavours.”
