ERC Advanced Grants: €2.5 million over 5 years for researchers with over 12 years post-PhD experience
Even though the deadlines for ERC Starting and Consolidator grants seem to be far away, do get in touch with RSSD with your proposal ideas today! These calls are extremely competitive therefore it is essential to plan ahead in order to present a proposal of sufficient quality. RSSD provides support with:
- Evaluation of your project idea
- Upgrading your CV with experience and publications
- Advice on choice of evaluation panels
- Proposal reading sessions, whereby a successful proposal will be available for reading and discussion
- Training programmes
- Proposal reviewing support.
MSCA Actions
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie actions support doctoral and post-doctoral researchers, regardless of age and nationality, as long as they satisfy the mobility rule. Researchers working across all disciplines are eligible for funding. The following calls are now open:
: Individual grants for European, international and / or intersectoral mobility, awarded to researchers to develop or relaunch (after interruption) their career.
: aimed at bringing researchers closer to the general public and raising public awareness of research and innovation activities.
: Joint research training and doctoral training, implemented by partnerships between universities, research institutes, companies, and other socio-economic actors.
: Co-funding from the European Commission provided to regional, national or international mobility and training programs for doctoral students or postdoctoral researchers.
: Foster international, intersectoral and interdisciplinary collaborations around a research and innovation project led through short-term secondments of personnel.

Erasmus+
Following the publication of the first annual Erasmus+ Work Programme 2021-2027 by the European commission on 25 March 2021, the following calls for cross-border cooperation projects, including cooperation between higher education institutions, are currently open:
Life+ call 2021
The new LIFE programme will cover the following areas:
- Nature and biodiversity
- Circular economy and quality of life
- Climate change mitigation and adaptation
- Clean energy transition
The new calls are expected to be published in July 2021.
The EU Commission will make use of the Funding & Tender opportunities portal to ensure applicants have a common entry point to most EU grants.
