The KAT陌P Programme, the details about which are stated below is designed for foreign public officials, diplomats, academicians, and researchers who wish to learn Turkish and get closely familiar with Turkey.
Within the framework of this scholarship program, KAT陌P grantees receive Turkish language training at Turkish Training Centres of certain universities. In addition to Turkish lessons, various activities including seminars, conferences, and institution visits and facility tours aim to ensure the participants learn more about Turkey and form more permanent bonds with Turkey.
Qualifications for the Candidates
- To be a foreign citizen,
- For public officials; to have worked at a related institution for at least 3 years and preferably hold a master's/doctoral degree,
- For researchers and scientists; preferably to be working on a subject or in a social sciences field related to Turkey,
- To have English proficiency,
- Preferably to have a basic knowledge of Turkish (Beginner level)
- Not to be residing in Turkey,
- Not to be older than 40 years of age as of 1 January, 2021
- Not to have benefited or be currently benefiting from other T眉rkiye Scholarship programs,
The Scope of the Programme
- Participants will be offered two options (6-month and 10-month) for the duration of the program
- The scholarship covers the expenses of Turkish language education, monthly stipend, round trip airfare tickets, accommodation expenses, and the cost of all the trips and cultural activities in Turkey
- Monthly stipend is 3.000 TRY for the 2021-2022 academic term
- Health insurance will be covered by the candidates themselves
- Successful participants will be entitled to receive intermediate level (B1) certificate at the end of 6 months and advanced level (C1) at the end of 10 months
- Attendance to the classes, seminars and other events will be mandatory
- The financial support will be reduced by 20% for the participants who fail the level exams
- In case of prolonged absence and sustained failure, the support provided to the participant will be cancelled and the amount of support provided until that date will be collected from the participants
Application and Registration Process
Application and registration procedures will be carried out .
Access to online application will be provided only for the recommended candidates.
The registration steps are as follows:
1. Candidates must create a pre-registration account with a valid e-mail address. In order for the candidates to continue application, they must send the 10-digit user number created during the pre-registration to our Embassy in order to inform YTB for confirmation until 30 June 2021.
2. Candidates who have completed the pre-registration and received confirmation will be sent an invitation e-mail to finalise the online application by filling out the personal information and uploading required documents. (Application Deadline: 2 July 2021)
3. Finalising the application does not guarantee that the candidate will be granted scholarship. Successful candidates will be informed after the evaluation by YTB based on certain success criteria, country distribution etc. Online interviews will also be concluded with the candidates.

- Document from the workplace indicating that the candidate is allowed to participate in the scholarship program
- Letters of recommendation received from the workplace.
The applications of only those candidates who are nominated by the relevant institutions will be evaluated.
