This document is a call for applications for Directive Board positions at Youths for Malta, a new non-profit organisation which aims at bringing social and political change to the country by addressing current issues in different areas while empowering the young population of Malta.

Why should you apply? 

Youths for Malta has aiming high and has the ambition of bringing about truly significant change which will redefine how young people participate in the issues that concern the national society as a whole. Having a Directive Board position provides you with an opportunity to have a strong voice in that change.

Furthermore, taking part in this project will provide you with experience that you might use later on in your professional career.
 

What are the options?

There are currently four vacant positions in the Directive Board: 

- Treasurer
- Head of Public Relations
- Head of Human Resources
- Event Coordinator

Treasurer

In charge of managing the financial resources of the organisation. 

Functions include:
- Budgeting
- Looking for sources of finance
- Overseeing the influx of capital 

We are looking for someone:
- Organised
- Transparent and honest
- Good at maths
- Resourceful
- Knowledgeable in accounting

Public relations

Functions include:
- Managing the social media of the organisation
- Creating marketing strategies to reach potential members
- Expanding the network of the organisation
 

We are looking for someone:
- Creative
- Proficient in social media skills
- Fluent in English and Maltese
- Skilful in graphic design (i.e. knows how to use Canva, Photoshop, etc)

Human Resources 

The Head of Human Resources is a key actor in preserving and improving Youths for Malta’s internal culture

 Functions include:
- Solving internal issues between members
- Communicating organisational decisions and changes when needed
- Keep the register of the members joining the organisation

 
We are looking for someone:
- With solid communication skills
- Organised
- Fluent in English and Maltese
- Empathic

Event Coordinator 

The Event Coordinator will plan and organise events where Youths for Malta can get more visibility.

Functions include:
- Planning events and putting ideas on paper
- Contacting owners of venues for events and making all necessary arrangements
- Executing event plans

- Organised
- Fluent in English and Maltese
- Creative
