Internship 2
This internship is based on a full-time commitment of 40 hours per week and will start on the 1 July 2023 or at a subsequent date as agreed by Infrastructure Malta and the applicant.
Interns will be exposed to a range of different functions related to road and/or maritime infrastructure including design, specifications, bills of quantities and site supervision and to a number of activities specified in the core subjects in the field of civil engineering required for obtaining the warrant to practice as a Perit.
This internship is open to Year 2 students following the taught Master of Engineering within the Faculty for the Built Environment.
Preference will be given to applicants who demonstrate that they have followed taught programmes in road engineering, infrastructure or marine engineering or who have elected to design projects in these areas. Other applicants will also be considered.
The internship shall be for an initial period of 52 weeks which may be renewed for subsequent periods as agreed to by Infrastructure Malta and the intern.
Interested applicants should submit:
- A motivational letter explaining their interest for applying together with their expectations.
- A transcript, or equivalent, for the completed studies.
- Copies of any certificates, diplomas or degrees.
- A copy of their police conduct which must not be older than 6 months from the date of application.
- A portfolio of projects undertaken in the field (this may be provided electronically).
