A Call is being published for the provision of expert services in relation with the piloting of an IR drone, as dictated within the CAPSENHAR Application Form, over a period of ONE MONTH (end of November-end of December 2023). Applications are invited for an external expert to work on CAPSENHAR, a project financed by the Interreg V-A Programme, in which the University of Palermo is the Lead Partner (Coordinator) and the University of Malta is a partner, with as Principal Investigator at the UM on this project.
1. The main task of the engaged expert includes the following:
- Piloting of an IR drone purchased through the CAPSENHAR project belonging to the following model:
Mavic 3T Worry-Free Basic Combo
Over open-water (non-coastal) stretches, from a vessel/boat platform, so as to collect surface water temperature Data. The vessel will be made available to the successful bidder by the University of Malta at no extra charge. A Minimum of three (3) days of filming are envisaged during the expert’s engagement, along with the processing of The collected data, a copy of which must be provided to Prof. Deidun BEFORE the termination of the expert’s Engagement.
2. The ideal applicant:
- Should have a locally-recognised license in drone piloting
- Should be familiar with the Italia-Malta funding Programme;
- Should have his/her own means of transport (fuel costs will not be reimbursed by the University of Malta);
- Should be VAT-registered and resident in Malta and
3. The engagement will last for a maximum of ONE MONTH from receipt of appointment letter, over the end of November-end of December 2023 period. The total for the rendered service will be 2000€, exclusive of VAT. Payment will be transferred by the University of Malta payable against the issuance of a VAT invoice by the selected candidate once the requested service, upon successful completion of all tasks, as certified by Prof. Alan Deidun (CAPSENHAR Principal Investigator at the University of Malta).
