The is a celebration of excellence in design and design management among , be it individual owners, entrepreneurs, small businesses, or large companies. Nominations are open in the following categories:
The Industry Award; for remarkable designs from large and medium-sized businesses. It is aimed for RCDs owned by companies which have more than 50 employees or over €10 million balance sheet total. Companies must have been established before 1 January 2020.
The Entrepreneurs and Small Companies Award; for exceptional designs from entrepreneurs, small companies and recently established enterprises, regardless of their size. It is intended for RCDs owned by companies which have fewer than 50 employees and less than €10 million balance sheet total. Companies must have been established after 1 January 2020, regardless of their size.
The Lifetime Achievement Award; reserved for individual designers with a significant body of work of aesthetic value, created over the course of a career, which has also had a demonstrable impact on the marketplace. Nominees in this category must currently use or have used the RCD system during their professional careers.
Next Generation Design Award; dedicated to nurturing and recognising the exceptional talents of the younger generation, up to the age of 29. This category is open to those who have one or more of their designs registered as an RCD (the young designers may have registered their RCD themselves or with a company).
The submitted designs must be valid RCDs that are marketed by the owner of the RCD or a licensee. The full list of can be found online. Submissions will be open until 15 March 2024. After submitting your application, kindly inform the Knowledge Transfer Office by sending us an email.
The winners will be announced in September on the and the Awards Ceremony will take place in Riga, Latvia, in September 2024.
