Mindfulness offers simple yet effective practices to break the cycle of stress, anxiety, and exhaustion, fostering lasting happiness and inner peace. Finding Peace in a Frantic World, developed by Professor Mark Williams and Dr Danny Penman, is a modified form of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy designed for those struggling with the pressures of modern life. It helps individuals recognise behaviour patterns that fuel unhappiness and mental fatigue, focusing on cultivating joy and confidence rather than merely eliminating negativity.
This training will form part of the tutor's Ph.D. research with the School of Psychology at Liverpool John Moores University.
All staff are encouraged to regularly consult the for information on forthcoming workshops and sessions.
