The ideal candidate should have an undergraduate degree or Masters degree in either Geography, Statistics, Earth Systems, Policy or any other related degree.
This post will be for a period from 02.05.25 until 31.12.25 and will be expected to work a total maximum of 94 hours for the Research Support Officer I and 84 hours for the Research Support Officer II. The Research Support Officer I will be remunerated at the rate of €12.72 and the Research Support Officer II will be remunerated at the rate of €14.22 per hour.
The selected candidate must be living in Malta for the period of employment.

1. The following is a list of tasks that the appointee may be required to:
- Collect data through online or in-person questionnaires;
- Conduct semi-structured interviews;
- Transcribe interviews;
- The selected candidate must be willing to learn and is dedicated and committed.
2. The appointee is expected to work:
- on a part-time basis; and
- at such places and during such hours as may be determined by the University authorities.
3. The selection procedure will involve:
- scrutiny of qualifications and experience claimed and supported by testimonials and/or certificates (copies to be included with the application);
- short-listing; and
- an interview and / or extended interview.
4. The appointment will be subject to a probationary period, and to the provisions of the Statutes, Regulations and Bye-Laws of the University which are now or which may hereafter be in force.
