Workshop Overview
This workshop is designed to help academics and researchers build and optimise their online presence and maximise the visibility and impact of their work. Participants will learn the importance of maintaining a strong digital presence and explore key platforms such as Google Scholar, ORCID, UM academic profiles, Scopus, and Web of Science. The session covers strategies for promoting research through social media, personal websites, and academic engagement.
Additionally, attendees will gain insights into Open Access publishing and the University of Malta's Read and Publish model. The workshop will also address methods for tracking and analysing the impact of publications using citation metrics and alternative metrics like PlumX.
All staff are encouraged to regularly consult the training schedule for information on forthcoming workshops and sessions.
