The University of Malta Library, in collaboration with Emerald Group Publishing Limited, leading publishers of Management, Marketing, Library Studies, Education, Engineering and Sociology, would like to invite you to an author workshop at the University of Malta.
The author workshop will be held on Tuesday, 1 December as follows:

The speaker will be Ms Sharon Parkinson who is a Publisher for Emerald鈥檚 education titles and she is based in Emerald鈥檚 head office in the UK.

between 14:00 and 16:00 in Room 105 Old Humanities Building (OH105).

Based on Emerald鈥檚 experience with the editors and authors, Ms Parkinson will be presenting a Guide to Getting Published for all postgraduate students and academics from all faculties, institutes and centres and the session will provide participants with information on:
- How to get started
- How to target your work more effectively
- The essentials of a research paper
- What editors and reviewers actually look for
- How to peer-review your own work
- The secrets of revision
There will be an opportunity to ask questions on publishing, on the publishing industry and any other topic relating to international academic research.
