Mr Nicholas Sammut, a representative from , will be delivering a presentation on the Automated External Defibrillator (AED), which is a cardiac resuscitation system. Currently the University of Malta Msida Campus has two AED devices: one is located at the Gateway Building and the other in the KSU Common Room.
This will also serve as an information session for those who are not familiar with the Automated External Defibrillator and have not attended any in the area of Occupational Health & Safety. Mr Sammut will explain how the AED works and how to use it. He will also explain in detail when this device should be used and why it is used.
This presentation will be held on Thursday 21 April at 12:00 noon at Sir Temi Zammit Hall. Interested participants are kindly asked to send an email to hrmd@um.edu.mt confirming their attendance.
