The two generators at the Biomedical Building will be tested on Tuesday 17 October 2017 from 08:00 to 08:30
The areas that will be affected are Biology, Pharmacy, Allied Research Unit (ARU), Anatomy (all old and new floors).
To do this, for the benefit of all, the Estates, Facilities and Capital Development Directorate would like the collaboration of all employees who are to observe the following:
- All Laboratory Technicians are to switch OFF any equipment that will not withstand or may incur any damage due to a change over from Mains to generator power and vice versa if not connected to the UPS power supply.
- PC鈥檚 that do not have an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) would ideally be switched OFF from the power plug; for those who have a UPS this would ideally be the best time to test same.
- Sophisticated/sensitive equipment too must be switched OFF during this procedure, unless they are connected to a UPS.
The Estates, Facilities and Capital Development Directorate strives to have generators in perfect running order for the benefit of all concerned.
We would like to apologise for any inconvenience this test run may cause.
For further clarification or any other information you can contact Mr John Busuttil on extension number 2750.
