Blood transfusions are a lifeline for thousands of patients recovering every year in all the hospitals in Malta and Gozo. The normal daily need of blood is an average of 50 blood bags daily, collected on a voluntarily and non-remunerated basis from altruistic persons like you.
If you are healthy the University of Malta encourages you to join in and give the gift of life on Thursday 16 November at the Msida Campus (Faculty of ICT premises).
Interested donors are encouraged to check in order to assess whether they are eligible or otherwise to donate blood as well as to inform themselves better about the requirements for donating blood. Male donors are reminded that they can donate blood three months after their last donation. Female donors are reminded that they can donate blood four months after their last donation.
