Opening hours
During the academic year (1 October 2021 till 15 June 2022), the Main Library will open as follows:
Monday to Friday: 07:00 - 20:00
Saturday: 09:00 - 12:15

The physical study spaces within the Library are open to all staff and students during the Library鈥檚 opening hours. Get to know all details on opening hours of Library departments, branch libraries and depositories.
Training Workshops
All workshops will be conducted online via Zoom, with registration beforehand. These workshops will include training on the below Library resources:
HyDi: One stop search gateway to both print and online Library resources, and your Library account.
RefWorks: Software used to create citations and compile bibliographies in your chosen output style.
OAR@UM: UM鈥檚 institutional repository that serves as a platform for authors and researchers wanting to upload their research output for open access.
If you are new to the Library, we have an introduction session for you! It covers general information about the Main Library, its departments and the services it offers, instructions on how to find, borrow and return books and basic training on the Library Online Catalogue. All sessions can be booked online through our website.
InfoBits
Short talks about useful tips and online tools that can assist you with your assignments and dissertations.
Talks will focus on the following subjects:
- Digital Libraries
- Building Search Queries
- Alternatives to Google Scholar
- Evaluating your sources
- Tips on note-taking

Books from the Health Sciences Library
