  What's new in OAR
Newest additions to the Maltese Journals collection
The Maltese Journals collection in OAR@UM has been recently further expanded with the addition of brand new issues of some of the most influential international periodicals, specifically the Small States & Territories Journal, Malta Medical Journal, and Malta Review of Educational Research.
Small States & Territories Journal, published by the Islands & Small States Institute, introduces the second issue of this year's volume (vol. 4, no. 2). In it, one can find a total of eleven high-quality articles tackling issues of climate change, sustainable development, governance, and resilience of small states and island nations as well as fifteen detailed book reviews, assessing a selection of the latest publications in the field.
The University of Malta Medical School introduces the latest issue of its primary periodical, Malta Medical Journal. Vol. 33, issue 2 features a usual assortment of original articles, review articles, and case reports, mostly focusing on the unfortunate physiological and psychological ramifications of the COVID-19 pandemic. Other topics covered in the edition include the assessment of the quality of care in a pediatric emergency Department, Spontaneous Pneumomediastinum in Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis, and Prenatal Diagnosis of Retroperitoneal Lymphangioma.
Last but not least, Malta Review of Educational Research delivers a special issue on languages in education (vol. 15 issue 2). The readers can have a look at three special articles and four other articles detailing the experiences of learners in various educational environments and more, as well as two commentaries and one book review.
