In our Erasmus+ funded grant entitled Teaching Online: Video Initiatives in Digital Education and Mobile Learning (TOVID), the University of Malta in collaboration with several produced the following short videos:
- The Get Ready Video Series (3 videos)
- The Get Started Video Series (4 videos)
- The Get Teaching Tips Video Series (19 videos)
Our purpose in developing these short videos (up to 5 minutes) is to support academic staff wishing or needing to make the transition from traditional face-to-face teaching to teaching effectively online.
The videos provide:
- a rationale for teaching online,
- ideas and strategies for effectively designing, delivering and evaluating digital education, and
- teaching tips from colleagues who share their best practices on how to effectively teach, save time and build an online learning community.
The videos are being released gradually every week and these can be viewed on a computer, tablet and smartphone.
We would be very grateful if you can provide us with brief feedback on a few videos. This would involve viewing the and submitting the online evaluation survey (1 minute) for any video that you view. The link to the online survey is next to each video.
To access a video:
- Click the Videos tab from the navigation menu at the top of the screen.
- Choose the series category you鈥檙e interested in. A submenu will be displayed.
- Click on the video you would like to view.
Participation is voluntary and anonymous. If you wish to include your details in the evaluation surveys, we will send you a digital certificate of participation.
Academics interested in online teaching and learning are invited to register for these courses offered annually:
We hope you enjoy the videos.
Thank you for your time, interest and participation,

  TOVID Project Lead
