The University of Malta Library is announcing the opening hours for this festive season.
Period: Wednesday 20 December 2023 - Wednesday 3 January 2024
Monday - Friday: 07:00 - 17:00
Saturdays & Sundays: Closed
Please note changes in opening hours on the following dates:

The Library Reverse Advent Calendar
The Library invites you to participate in the special initiative!
Consult to guide you on what items to bring on that specific day (not necessarily following the date order), bring the item to the Library and leave it in a designated area in front of the Circulation Desk.
Please do not donate expired food or fresh / frozen items. All food items received will be donated to the UM Chaplaincy Food Store.
Bake Sale donation
On Friday 3 November, the Library was proud to hand over the proceeds from the bake and plant sale which took place on the 23 and 24 October, in aid of Dr Klown.
We raised a sum of €2000 which was collected by Mr Eric Muscat, the President of .
We would like to thank everyone who contributed!
Art Connect launch
On Friday 10 November the Library hosted an of ART Connect!
ART Connect is a project that offers students a unique opportunity to showcase their artistic creations, ranging from paintings and photography to digital media and installations. Applications will be open at the beginning of each semester.

Explore the Prof. Sir Jack Goody special collection! Available at the Valletta Campus Library!
The Valletta Campus Library holds a unique and rich collection of anthropological and social science works acquired in 2011 from Sir Jack Goody. The collection comprises more than 4,860 items and was donated by Sir Prof. Jack Goody (1919-2015), a renowned English social anthropologist, and his wife, Dr. Esther Newcomb Goody (1932-2018), who was also a social anthropologist.

What's new in Melitensia
Melitensia's Resource of the month – November 2023
- a satirical comic gazette.
This Maltese periodical, which is going to be issued monthly, includes satire, parody, and social commentary on current affairs in Malta. It features contributions from various writers and artists, unrestrained humour, and unscrupulous characters.
