The Doctoral School is in the process of formulating a strategic plan specific to doctoral studies at UM.

It builds on the strategic themes identified in the UM Strategic Plan 2020-2025.

A number of priorities have been identified, grouped into three pillars:

1. Research Quality
2. Education
3. Impact. 

A consultation process is being launched to seek feedback on the priorities that concern doctoral studies targeting doctoral students, academic staff, and administrators responsible for doctoral students.

The consultation process will consist of anonymous surveys and the results will be used to finalise the strategic plan and to prioritise actions to be undertaken by the Doctoral School over the next years. All recipients of the survey are encouraged to contribute towards improving the doctoral research experience at UM by participating in this exercise by end of March 2024.
