Easter Opening hours
During the Easter Recess (Monday 25 March – Sunday 7 April 2024), the Main Library will open from Mondays - Fridays between 07:00 - 17:00.

Original manuscripts by poet Rużar Briffa donated to University Library
A series of manuscripts and documents pertaining to poet and doctor Rużar Briffa were recently donated to the University of Malta Library on the initiative of Mr Paul P. Borg author of the book, “Fejjaqtni int: Rużar Briffa u jienâ€.
The official presentation of these documents was conducted in the presence of the Director of UM Library, , Manager for Special Collections, , and UM Rector, , together with members of the Briffa family.
The collection is available for research at the within the University Library.

This unique collection, generously donated by esteemed Dutch anthropologist Prof. Jeremy Boissevain (1928-2015), comprises 973 items on a wide array of topics including social mobility, sociology of friendship, race and civilization, social classes, political organization, culture, social structure, and social organization. The collection also extends its reach to subjects such as symbolic anthropology, urbanization, ethnography, social theories, socioeconomic matters, migration, history, and gender.
