Extended opening hours
The Library is extending its opening hours from Friday 2 May till Thursday 26 June 2025.
The Main Library Study Halls on Level II and Level III will be open on:
- Mondays - Fridays:
- 2 May to 15 June - 07:00 - 23:00
- 16 June to 26 June - 08:00 - 20:00
- Saturdays: 09:00 - 16:45
- Sundays & Public Holidays: 09:00 - 16:45
The Circulation Desk, Melitensia and Reference Departments will be open on:
- Mondays - Fridays:
- 2 May to 15 June - 07:00 - 20:00
- 16 June to 26 June - 08:00 - 16:45
- Saturdays: 09:00 - 12:15
- Sundays & Public Holidays: Closed
Borrowing and returning books (Circulation Desk and Melitensia) will be carried out during the above-mentioned hours.

Bibliotherapy: Using books to improve your wellbeing
Discover bibliotherapy! The session taking place on Wednesday 14 May at 17:00 will introduce participants to the concept of bibliotherapy – the use of books as a therapeutic tool to support emotional and mental wellbeing.

Usurper: Fantasy book launch & author meet-up
Join us on Saturday 7 June at 10:00 for a morning of magic, mystery, and a touch of darkness as we celebrate the launch of Usurper, the first book in the fantasy series by debut author J.M. Rose.
Usurper follows Dmitry Petrov, heir to the vampire throne of Raspien—until a scandal on his eighteenth birthday shatters everything. Cast out from the royal court and stripped of his birthright, Dmitry is thrust into a world he was raised to look down on.
Laws and Theology Library
The , located in Room 303 at the Faculty of Laws and Theology (New Humanities A), is a great space for students to study and work on assignments. With refurbished seating area, it can now host up to 36 students. Although the new desks are not equipped with socket outlets, power extension cords are available for those who need to charge their devices. Please ask the librarian on duty if you require an extension lead to plug in your laptop.
A number of new books are also available at this library, many of which are recent publications authored or edited by members of the academic staff.
What's new in Melitensia
Melitensia's book of the month – May 2025
written by Terence Mirabelli and published by Faraxa.
This book is a charming collection of quirky facts and trivia, filled with obscure and surprising information — often imbued with distinctly local characteristics.
