The IEEE Malta Student Branch is inviting students and graduates worldwide to take part in the IEEE Global Robot Championships Malta 2026, an international competition focused on innovation, collaboration, and real-world impact.
- Open to IEEE members globally (students and graduate students)
- Location: Malta (Region 8)
- Event Date: Autumn 2026
The championships aim to promote STEAM, teamwork, and entrepreneurship, in line with IEEE’s mission of Advancing Technology for Humanity. Participants will have the opportunity to develop innovative robotic solutions while engaging with a global community of peers.
Competition Categories:
• Arena – 4 Games (teams of up to 3 members)
• Robot Arm AI Challenge – 3 Games (teams of up to 2 members)
AI Robot Championships Pitch Proposal (Mandatory):
All teams are required to submit a proposal outlining their robot concept. This must demonstrate how the project contributes to IEEE’s mission and aligns with one of the following themes:
- Assistive Robotics for Healthcare and Wellbeing
- Environmental Sustainability and Climate Action
- Disaster Response and Humanitarian Assistance
- Smart Cities and Future Infrastructure
Participating in the IEEE Global Robot Championships Malta 2026 offers students and graduates the chance to apply their technical knowledge to real-world challenges, while developing practical and entrepreneurial skills. It provides an opportunity to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams and to showcase innovative ideas on an international stage.
