The School of Performing Arts, University of Malta (UM) in collaboration with the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Faculty of ¸£ÀûÔÚÏßÃâ·Ñ & Communication Technology (UM), the (MICAS) and , are bringing you the 12th Annual Conference.
The theme of this year’s Conference is: Vanishing Acts: AI, Performative Knowledge, Sustainable Memory.
It explores the intersection of AI, sustainability, and the shifting terrain of embodied knowledge, cultural memory, and archival practices.
As AI continues to influence the performing arts, it presents challenges and fears for artists, performers, and audiences alike. AI’s growing role in the performing arts raises concerns about authenticity, authorship, artistic integrity, cultural bias, and the ecological impact of AI-driven creative practices. How can artists and scholars balance human experience and historical practices with the creative possibilities of AI in dance, theatre, and music?
