Professor Lino Bianco engaged in lecturing at the Georgian Technical University

Prof. Lino Bianco concluded an Erasmus+ Teaching Staff Mobility at the Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planning and Design, Georgian Technical University (GTU) as part of the Erasmus+ Key Action 107 – International Credit Mobility. The mobility was undertaken from 30 March until 3 April 2026.

The miscellaneous lectures covered topics ranging from the work of the Roman architect-author Vitruvius to architectural values and others relating to universal design. Sessions were well attended by students and by members of the academic staff who included the Dean Professor Nugzar Khvedeliani and the former Dean Professor Nino Imnadze. Furthermore, He was requested to deliver a lecture at the International Design School of the same university which was well attended by students and members of the academic staff.

In 2022, Prof. Bianco was appointed to review the PhD programme in architecture at the GTU. In 2015, the Faculty of Architecture, Urban Planning and Design of the GTU conferred upon him for his contributions to architectural education and practice, a title bestowed to several international architects including Kisho Kurokawa, Justus Dahinden, Daniel Libeskind and Richard England. He was recommended to be awarded this title by the lead architect of Georgia Academician Vakhtang Davitaia who, later, authored a scientific article about him, a copy of which is available online.
