Celebrating a Milestone: first graduands of the M.Sc. in Nursing (Area of Specialisation)

The Department of Nursing at the University of Malta is proud to celebrate the achievements of this year's cohort of Master of Science in Nursing graduates, with a record of 41 graduands, marking an important milestone for postgraduate nursing education in Malta.  The Department continues to offer the Master of Science in Nursing (General) programme on both a full-time and part-time basis. This year, eight nurses graduated from the general M.Sc. in Nursing programme.

Moreover, this year, the Department is also celebrating the first cohort of graduands from the Master of Science in Nursing (Area of Specialisation) programmes. Launched in October 2022, these programmes were designed to enable qualified nurses to develop advanced expertise within specific areas of clinical practice. A total of 33 specialist nurses graduated across five specialised pathways namely Critical Care, Emergency Care, Skin and Wound Care, Palliative Care and Cancer Care.

Together, graduates from both the general and specialised master's programmes are equipped with the advanced knowledge and skills required to provide evidence-based, person-centred care and contribute to the continued professional advancement of nursing in Malta.

The Department of Nursing congratulates all nurses graduating this year on this significant academic and professional achievement.
