MITA is pleased to invite UM staff to the Esri Malta Geospatial Summit, hosted by GeoSYS and Esri, taking place on Wednesday 8 October 2025 at the Malta Marriott Resort & Spa, St. Julians.
This event will bring together the Malta GIS Community to showcase the latest advancements in Esri technology, real-world success stories, and practical solutions highlighting how location intelligence is transforming decision-making across critical sectors, including governance, infrastructure, public safety and national security.
Esri President Jack Dangermond will share Esri’s vision and his perspective on the growing importance of GIS in addressing today’s most complex challenges. Participants will also have the opportunity to join industry-focused breakout sessions to learn how geospatial solutions are delivering measurable impact across Malta, Europe, and the globe.
The breakout sessions will focus on:
- Local & National Government: discover how public administrations are modernising governance, enabling policy-making, improving planning processes, and enhancing citizen engagement using GIS.
- Infrastructure: explore how infrastructure organisations are harnessing GIS to plan, build, and maintain critical assets more effectively in the transport, utilities, and urban development domains.
- National Security: learn how defence, public safety, and health agencies are leveraging GIS to enhance situational awareness, operational readiness, interagency collaboration and mission success.
