His present research work, together with his students and colleagues, spans various areas computer vision and signal processing, including applications in: eye-gaze tracking, thermal image analysis, sketch and drawing understanding, EEG signal processing, brain-computer interfacing, and many others.

Prof. Ing. Farrugia is an academic at the Department of Communications and Computer Engineering (CCE), focusing primarily on image processing and computer vision. His current research endeavors focus on image restoration, remote sensing and image forensics/biometrics.
Dr Ing. Christian Galea – Research Support Officer

Dr Ing. Galea is a Research Support Officer at the Department of Communications and Computer Engineering (CCE), specializing in video processing, image processing and computer vision. In this project, Chris is mainly working on multi-frame/video super-resolution (SR), focusing primarily on restoration of faces.
Mr. Matthew Aquilina – Research Support Officer

Mr. Aquilina is a Research Support Officer at the Department of Communications and Computer Engineering (CCE), with key interests in artificial intelligence (AI) and precision medicine. Matthew has largely worked on non-blind and blind super-resolution (SR), while also being responsible for the design, planning and maintenance of the project codebase.

Mr. Ciantar is a Research Support Officer and Software Developer at Ascent Software, with a background in image processing and machine learning (ML). As the newest member, Keith initially worked on creating a GUI application for the codebase. After this, he moved to research and analysis, working on blind, non-blind and face super-resolution (SR).
