Kindly note, the deadline to submit was postponed from 20 January 2026 to 4 February 2026. Following this change, the internal deadlines for academics at the University of Malta have also been updated as outlined below.

Coordinator to submit full proposal package to the for Interreg Italia-Malta - deadline 4 February 2026, 23:59 CET

PI for UM as Partner needs prepare the following documents

• Partner Sections of the application form on JEMS Platform
• Annex A Letter of Intent and Co-Financing, with the National Contribution and signature
• Annex D Statement for Research and Knowledge Dissemination Organisations
• ID Card of Legal Representative (provided by RSSD)
• The Statute for UM is the Education Act, initiated and signed (provided by RSSD)
• Last 2 approved financial statements of the entity with proof of filing (Provided by RSSD)

Coordinators are Required to Draft and Submit the Following Documents

• Application Form on JEMS Platform
• Annex A Letters of intent and Co-financing for each Partner, including Lead, with signature
• Formal Administrative Act to approve the project proposal, highlighting the total budgetary amount for the implementation of the project activities of the whole partnership with signature
• Annex D Statement for Research and Knowledge Dissemination Organisations
• ID Card of Legal Representative (provided by RSSD)
• The Statute for UM is the Education Act, initiated and signed (provided by RSSD)
• Last 2 approved financial statements of the entity with proof of filing (Provided by RSSD)
• Clearances/permissions/authorisations to verify readiness to develop the project

Potential Extra Documentation:

• TRL External Evaluation - Proposals for specific objective 1.1 (Factsheet 1)
• Annex C Document to confirm financial capacity (Private entities only)
• Annex B Letter to cover 20% co-financing by a secure third party
  In the event that the 20% percent generally covered by the National Contribution (NC) is secured by a third party and not by the partner itself, the third party covering the 20% share must also submit a Letter of Co-financing in favour of the partner (Annex B) they are covering. This letter must be duly signed and stamped by the legal representative of the entity providing the 20% share of the partner's budget.
