| Abstract: | The summer I turned sixteen, I was camping at Ghadira Bay, on my island home, with my family as we had done for all the three summer months of my life. Summers meant freedom, days of unstructured time swimming, canoeing, hiking, barbeques, playing, listening to music. That summer, a group of 16 to 18 year old males set up a tent next to us. They all had long hair, wore tattered jeans, some carried guitars, and they played music loud on the battery operated cassette tape decks of those days. |
