The Maltese Oriental Society is organising a public lecture entitled 'The Quest of Abounaddara: A Syrian Filmmaking Group Online'. The speaker is Ms Ghenwa Mumari (University of Malta).
This talk introduces the work of the Syrian filmmaking collective Abounaddara in their quest to capture the Syrians’ voices, images and views during the last five years, a form of resistance and resilience.
The public lecture will be held on Tuesday, 15 March 2016 at the Fortification Interpretation Centre, St Mark Street, Valletta at 18:15.
