The President鈥檚 Foundation for the Wellbeing of Society is organising a women鈥檚 day event: (Miss)Representation. The event will be held on Tuesday 5 March at San Anton Palace, Attard.
The Foundation will be screening (Miss)Representation, a film which focuses on how the media (miss)represents and objectifies women. This in itself sets the stage for a conversation on sexual harassment and abuse, which is infinitely more pervasive once there is a nurtured climate to facilitate that behaviour. The Film highlights the sharing of persistent media messages, which support the idea of women as passive objects of sexual desire, rather than equal human beings. This will be followed by a panel discussion.
