The Institute for European Studies is organising a public lecture by Dr David Jeffery (University of Liverpool) entitled 'Between a rock and a hard border: Conservative Party approaches to Brexit'.
This lecture will outline the tensions within the parliamentary Conservative Party towards the issue of Brexit - whether the UK should follow a hard Brexit, a soft Brexit, Canada+++, a Norway option, a WTO Brexit, back a #PeoplesVote on any final deal, or give up on Brexit and remain in the European Union.
The lecture will also examine the views of party members, Conservative voters, and the broader public towards Brexit, and discuss future electoral issues facing the party.
