The Centre for Traditional Chinese Medicine is inviting the general public to attend the next public lecture at the University of Malta, carrying the topic of herbal tea. The lecture will be delivered by Dr Zhang Jiabao and it will be held at the Lecture room of the Centre for Traditional Chinese Medicine at the University of Malta.
Tea, an aromatic beverage, and the second most widely consumed drink all over the world after water, originated in China thousands of years ago during the Shang dynasty.
But did you know that tea was originally used as a medical drink to cure diseases? Different characteristics from different tea leaves were in fact used to treat different conditions.
Nowadays, tea is consumed to help balance the body.
