In 2021, Science in the City is Sowing Seeds! With a whole new format full of music, performance and research. This hybrid event sees digital and physical events crammed into the 24 and 25 September. Science in the City’s team strongly recommends that visitors book their FREE tickets for the physical and live virtual events in advance to secure their spot and chat directly to the researchers. Physical booking is essential for COVID-19 safety regulations. They are events tailored to people of all ages. To book, go .
This year the physical events will return to various venues in Valletta with safety measures in place to limit COVID-19 spread and keep attendees safe. St Dominic’s Theatre, San Gorg Preca College Primary, City Theatre, The National Museum of Archeology, Spazju Kreattiv and St Magdalene Church will be ablaze with performances, experiments, and artistic exhibitions.
The digital festival, which was such a huge success last year attracting 20,000 viewers, is available through our Facebook page and Zoom. After your book your spot, you’ll receive the link to join this amazing event with discussions on mental health, nature around Malta and award-winning science shows.
Researchers, companies, student associations, organisations, artists and NGOs, from a spectrum of fields, have joined forces to stage one crowd-pleaser after another. These collaborations aim to help inspire all who attend a scientific mindset and become more empowered and active citizens.
Each event is a thought-provoking one, conceived to build pride in Malta’s cultural and natural heritage, inspiring the audience to take action to improve the world around them, engaging them with the knowledge to spark critical thinking and the desire to become more active in shaping their own future.
Join us in sowing the seeds of knowledge and let’s be the change we want to see!
